This Teford Pilot's display recorder as fitted to Jaguar and Buccaneer fighter aircraft,to more but two similar versions were also fitted to Harrier jump jet fighter during the Falklands and later conficts. The purpose of this recorder was to film the pilot's head-up display as well as record the target to make the record of the attacks carried out by the aircraft with the camera firing as the bombs were released or as the guns were fired. The camera was loaded with approx. 50ft of 16mm B/W or colour film which were processed back at the operating base on the aircraft's return. It has fixed shutter speed and adjustable aperture with click stops that the pilot could select approriate to the lighting coditions.
